The Woman
Sweet, bubbly, and outgoing, Lana is the perfect person to run her small Ul'dahn shop. She works well with strangers, and doesn't have a lick of shyness. She greets all that come to her shop with a warm smile and a lot of questions. Despite her sweet demaeanor she is not a push over. Lana's gaze is shrewd and focused and she seems able to adjust and read emotions of customers quickly. Those who know her say that Lana is kind but is quick to set her boundaries and limits. Those who know her very well, point out her independance and pride and her stubborn streak.
Lana does not like to let her bright mask fade. While she's warm and friendly with everyone she speaks with- she is careful to maintain distance to keep the most important parts of herself to herself. She does not talk about her struggles, or fears, and she's slow to accept help even from friends. Her determination is arguably her strongest trait, but it is also her weakness. Overall, like everyone on Eitherys and beyond, she is complex and it's up to those who meet her decide if they'd like to know her.
Her Past
Lana was born to a pair of Hhetsarro parents in the great city of Tuliyollal. Her mother and father jointly ran a small clinic that mostly serviced locals and the occasional traveler, specializing in healing poultices, and minor conjury magic. Her life was a simple one. Her family's clinic was always busy, and Lana took to learning her parents' trade with enthusiasm and a surprising amount of skill. In her adulthood, her love of the work had her staying with her parents and continuing to work as a healer in their shop.After the crowning of the New Dawnservants and Zoraal Ja's attack on Tulliyolal, Lana felt her peaceful life upended. While she managed to escape unscathed, her mother was lost in the attack, and her father permanently injured. Lana's world was shifted and it all happened while Lana herself was confronting changes to her own identy and how she seems herself.
Her Present
Lana has been through a sea change in the last few moons. The loss of her mother, her father's worsening condition, and her own exploration of self means that many things in her life are completely new to her. Her shop still remains, she has committed herself to continuing her parents' legacy of caring for adventures and other Turali. Her days are consumed with her shop, it's inventory, the clients who come through, and helping her ailing father live as comfortably as possible.If asked, she'd say she doesn't quite feel prepared for the world she's suddenly thrust into. Finding moments for herself are hard if only because of all the things she has to do. She is currently trying to recovery from loss, come into her own as a woman, and stay sane. She could use friends. And a drink. She could use, so many drinks.
Character Notes
Lana is a trans woman who is just beginning her transition, among a period of heavy loss in her life. While these aren't the only parts of her personality, they are going to be driving parts of how she views the world and makes decisions at this point in her life.
She is not at a stage where romance is a priority, or even necessarily on her mind. She's mostly looking to make friends with people. That said, she is not a nun, and she is not opposed to such things under the right circumstances.
Lana's roleplay is mostly slice of life oriented, with hints of adventure and magical centered roleplay. She's a healer and shopkeeper and mostly is centered in the New World but may travel for business.
While Lana doesn't hold the same hang ups about certain groups and cultures as the standard Eorzean, she is a bit wary of Alexandrians after the attack on Tulliyoyal. This does not mean that she would ever refuse one safety or treatment- but she may not be as friendly with them.

First and foremost I'm here to write. Gposers, gooners, and those just looking for ooc interactions will have no reason to interact with me.
While not required, I do use light. I will prefer roleplay partners who use it as well.
I usually prefer in game roleplay as Discord rp is difficult for me to focus on. Walkups in game are alright but tells are typically better.
On the note of modding, please keep your character relatively feasible to the world of Eitherys and your character design grounded.
No OOC Transphobia, racism, or bigotry. If you wish to explore these icly please ask first so we can make sure everyone is comfortable. (Probably still a no).
No partners under 21 or rp characters under 18 please.
As a trans woman newly into her transition process, Lana's body reflects this. For those wishing to engage with her in a romantic or physical way please note that I will not change the body she has. If you're not into it, that's okay, but that means she is not for you.
